Electrolytes Without Stevia: Your Real Options

Why a whole guide about one sweetener?
Searches for electrolyte powders 'without stevia' are a small industry of their own. The recurring complaints in reviews: a bitter or metallic aftertaste, bloating, and stomach upset. Some people simply want the option gone. Fair enough — here is how the alternatives stack up.
Option 1: truly unsweetened
The cleanest answer is no sweetener at all: LMNT Raw Unflavoured, SALTT Clean Slate, Hydrant's unflavoured pouch ('no stevia, no monk fruit, no sugar, no natural flavours') and Buoy's drops. Expect a salty taste — put them in coffee, broth or sparkling water rather than plain water and most people stop noticing.
Option 2: allulose or monk fruit
Allulose (used with stevia in Liquid I.V. Sugar-Free) and monk fruit (Hydrant's flavoured zero-sugar line) are the least-complained-about sweeteners in our study's review mining — though 'least complained' is not 'never complained', and allulose costs more, which shows up in the price.
Option 3: a little real sugar
For illness and endurance, sugar is functional: glucose helps sodium absorption, which is why oral rehydration formulas keep it. Skratch, DripDrop classic and Pedialyte classic are honest about it. If your reason for avoiding stevia is taste or stomach, a small amount of sugar may suit you better than any sweetener.
